8 and 9 of June European ECO Forum met in Riga to finalise its position for the upcoming Meeting of Parties to the Aarhus Convention which starts on 11 June. The meeting ended with the adoption of Riga Appeal which you find here in two languages, in English and Russian. Environmental organisations present at the meeting prepared and presented to the Working group of Parties their demand for setting up the Task Force on Public Participation to fully cover the second pillar of the Aarhus Convention.
